Before & After

the difference.
A misted or blown sealed unit is a failed edge seal, not a broken window — so in almost every case only the glass is replaced and your existing frame stays put.

Blown double glazing replaced
Surrey
Every pane in this window had misted over — the edge seal had failed and moisture was sitting between the sheets of glass. The frame itself was sound, so only the sealed units were changed. The white squares on the new glass are the manufacturer's labels, left on until the job is signed off.

Misted unit swapped, frame kept
Surrey
The same view, before and after. Once a unit blows you lose the view and most of the insulation the glazing was doing — but the window does not need replacing. New unit into the existing frame, beaded and sealed.

Shattered pane replaced
Surrey
Toughened glass does not crack, it crazes across the whole pane at once — safe, but you cannot see through it. Old unit out, opening made safe, new glass measured and fitted.

Boarded door made good
Surrey
Boarded up first so the property was secure the same visit, then re-glazed properly once the new unit came in — matched to the leaded pattern in the side panel next to it.
